Villa Celimontana Jazz Festival

 

 
 
The 16th edition of this Festival will be housing many different events apart from the official schedule: theatre works with live music, musicals, the attendance of the main schools of the country and jam sessions by the best students of jazz masters. August holds many appointments in store for the audience: the Riccardo Fassi Analog Trio in concert, playing original themes and famous standards with electronic keyboards and the combination of funk sounds with grooves inspired.
Improvisation with great emotional impact is the grounding also for the duo Enrico Rava and Stefano Bollani, in concert on August 6th: Rava has the possibility of actually doing anything he thinks of and Bollani follows him with the peculiarity of being one only man embodying a whole orchestra. On August 15th Javier Girotto with his Latin mood project, Aires Tango on the next day, Roberto Gatto’s quintet on the 21st, Mario Laginha and Maria João with dance and music going from fados to jazz on September 14th.
Photographic exhibitions will accompany the festival until the last day, when the young talents of the Villa Celimontana Jazz Orchestra will play the final performance.
